What is your professional experience? Why did you choose to get involved with Circle of Care?
Ken is a Senior Advisor and Former Head and founder of Portfolio Advisors Real Estate. He specializes in alternative investments and helps his clients maximize returns while managing risk exposure. Ken has managed assets for institutions, endowments, pension funds, and foundations for over thirty years. He identifies with Circle of Care on a personal level. Multiple family members have been stricken with cancer over the years, so he has experienced firsthand how much support is needed for families dealing with cancer diagnoses.
How do you feel your professional experience will provide value as a board member at Circle of Care?
Ken is new to our board and looks forward to bringing his extensive investment and risk management knowledge to help Circle of Care with its financial management and governance.
What do you do in your free time?
Ken sums it up with one word, "Ohana," the Hawaiian word for family. Ohana also happens to be the name of his sailboat. Ken is a lifelong sailor who competes in over thirty yearly sailing races. Much of the crew on his boat consists of "family that are friends, and friends that are family," bringing the spirit of Ohana to life.
