Regional Business Development Consultant (Westchester Area)
Project Title: Regional Business Development in Northern Westchester, NY & Region
Initial Contract Term: 6 months, renewable

We require a consulting partner to support our priorities of program excellence, regionalization, and sustainability in the Northern Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, and Orange County region, as we continue to provide and expand programs for families who are referred to us by the pediatric oncology center at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, Valhalla, NY. With a consultant, we wish to achieve the goals below:
Consulting Engagement Goals:
• Broaden and deepen CoC’s reach and knowledge of the regional business, civic, and philanthropic landscape
• Nurture and establish relationships with new supporters and businesses
• Identify and engage with new program partners and resources
• Increase our visibility to the region’s philanthropic stakeholders, businesses, and local communities
Consultant Competencies: Current knowledge of the region’s civic, business, and philanthropic eco-system is required. This role is ideal for a relationship-oriented professional who communicates exceptionally well, embraces Circle of Care’s mission, deeply enjoys friend and fundraising, engages a positive and entrepreneurial approach in making introductions and connections, can synthesize and apply new information with ease, and has developed and executed successful business, program, or philanthropy plans and projects.
On occasion, the consultant may need to perform light work, such as traveling and walking to and from meetings and events, setting up for and making in-person presentations, and carrying items related to implementing the work described in the scope of services.
Proposal Submission Requirements and Schedule: Proposals, not to exceed 10 pages, should be submitted in an email to jobs@thecircleofcare.org with “Business Development RFP Northern Westchester and Region” in the subject heading. All proposals must be received by 6 PM EST on Monday, June 1, 2026.
In early June, follow-up meetings will begin. Final candidates will be interviewed in person at COC’s office in Wilton, CT.
The proposal must include the following:
● Consultant & Background: Identify and provide detailed information about the qualifications and relevant experience of the lead consultant and any other key personnel. Include your work history with non-profits in the region and present a sustained, successful record of business development and fundraising.
● Approach/Methodology & Schedule: A narrative outlining your approach to the scope of work, including a timeline with deliverables and milestones.
● List of Representative Engagements: Present a listing of five or more business development and fundraising strategy engagements in this region. Please include work for organizations with a similar mission or scale, and summarize their mission/services, accomplishments, success metrics, and engagement dates.
● Fee/Budget: A detailed budget, with notes. Please include any flat fees, hourly rates for proposed and additional services, and estimates of anticipated reimbursable expenses.
● References: Three names, with professional role, telephone, and email, who will serve as consultant references and, ideally, include prior or current clients. These references will not be contacted without the consultant’s written permission.
● Conflict of Interest: If the consultant has any potential conflicts of interest, please elaborate.
