What is your professional experience? Why did you choose to get involved with Circle of Care?
George worked for 25 years as a financial executive for Fortune 500 companies such as GE, Aetna, American Express, and JP Morgan Chase. He was the finance lead on numerous mergers & acquisitions and new product launches and was the CFO of Aetna's Nascent Business division. George feels a strong personal connection with families facing cancer, having lost his wife of 24 years to cancer in 2020.
What do you do with Circle of Care? How do you feel your professional experience provides value as a board member at Circle of Care?
George first joined Circle of Care as a member of the Finance Committee, bringing his financial experience to help us manage our budget and investments and build the analytics to quantify the economic impact of our programs. George is currently our Staff Writer, writing content to help spread awareness of our programs in the press, social media, and other media outlets.
What do you do in your free time?
George is a songwriter who plays piano and guitar and mixes rock, classical, and country influences. He's even recorded an album of his original music. He enjoys playing tennis and fishing on his boat on Long Island Sound.
