What is your professional experience? Why did you choose to get involved with Circle of Care?
Ray is the SVP and Head of Business Development and M&A at Wilton Re. Before that, he was the CFO at Swiss Re Life & Holdings U.S. and an audit partner at PWC. Ray believes that with success comes community responsibility and feels giving back is essential. He was drawn to Circle of Care because of our mission and how we help those who need it most.
What do you do with Circle of Care? How do you feel your professional experience provides value as a board member at Circle of Care?
Ray has been our Board Chair since 2020 and provides seasoned leadership to the Board and our Executive team. Having worked as a corporate executive for many years, Ray helps guide Circle of Care as our programs and strategy evolve. From the corporate board room to the meeting room in our Barn, Ray brings best-in-class governance practices that ensure trust and accountability across the organization, providing the direction we need to help us grow and reach more families. Ray also serves on our Executive Committee, Finance Committee, Golf Committee, HR & Comp Committee, and he's worked on two room makeovers for our Art from The Heart Program, showing his unending commitment to our success.
What do you do in your free time?
When he's not in the office, Ray enjoys anything outdoors, especially hiking and biking. He maximizes family time and likes to cook an occasional signature meal. One of Ray's favorite endeavors is beekeeping - he cares for and maintains beehives on his property that produce a rich honey harvest yearly. "It's like a science experiment," says Ray, "but one that also provides tasty treats."
