What is your professional experience? Why did you choose to get involved with Circle of Care?
April spent the early part of her career as a corporate trainer with Prudential and then worked with another nonprofit, Save the Children. She feels a powerful connection to Circle of Care's mission, having lost her sister to pediatric cancer when she was 14.
What do you do with Circle of Care? How do you feel your professional experience provides value as a board member at Circle of Care?
At Prudential and Save the Children, April worked extensively with various databases and analytic tools. Now at Circle of Care, she manages our case management database system, which contains all our family and program information. Thanks to April, this system enables our staff to track all the benefits we provide to our families, helping us refine our programs and communicate our progress to existing and new supporters. April also sits on our Golf Committee and has helped ensure the success of many events.
What do you do in your free time?
April has many interests, including making pottery, playing tennis and golf, and working in her garden.
