Prismatic hues transformed The Loading Dock into a shimmering spectacle on Thursday, June 13, enchanting over 350 guests who gathered for Circle of Care’s 20th Anniversary Gala, “Kaleidoscope: Colors of Courage.”
Under the guidance of co-chairs Zelie and Andy Pforzheimer, and honorees April and Michael Book and Kacky and Phil Theoharides, the evening unfolded with a blend of childlike wonder and sophisticated whimsy.
Entering through a kaleidoscopic portal, guests added to the event's brightness and color—their festive attire echoing the vibrancy around them. Vibrant purple Aviator cocktails, courtesy of Via Carota, were passed amidst the mingling.
Guided through a corridor pulsing with light, attendees entered the dining room, where they were treated to an inspirational acapella performance that set the tone for the evening. Following dinner, crafted by Abigail Kirsch, some guests danced to the beats of DJ April Larken while others continued to mingle, enjoying desserts also by Abigail Kirsch.
“Kaleidoscope: Colors of Courage” was Circle of Care’s most successful fundraiser of the year, inspiring new and old friends alike. The money raised from Thursday’s event will further enrich vital programs supporting families facing a childhood cancer diagnosis across Connecticut, Western Massachusetts, and Westchester, NY, and allow for continued expansion of programming.
